- Professor biography
Doh, Young Yim is an invited professor in the Graduate School of Culture Technology at KAIST and the director of the Games and Life Lab. She received a B.A./M.A./Ph.D. degree in psychology at Yonsei University. She is an expert on lifespan developmental psychology and cyber psychology. Her research interest is analyzing game player's experiences and behavioral changes from a socio-cultural perspective. She is also carrying out activities to foster game literacy and discover future game-related social agendas to create a healthy game culture ecosystem. She is interested in extending human well-being in a society that is undergoing digital transformation, based on an integrated understanding of the socio-cultural phenomena in which the real world and the game world are interconnected. She served as an associate editor-in-chief, Journal of the Korea Game Society and took a role as a chairperson of player culture division and committee member of game culture ecosystem division, Game Culture Forum. Currently, she is serving as a member of the Impact Game Meetup Steering Committee..
