The 3rd Eye symbolizes a third eye to see a new future through multidisciplinary convergence research (such as science and technology, humanities and society, culture and arts, and design) and education.
The logo mark symbolizes the third eye of CT, carrying out studies through converged culture and technology towards a new future that cannot be foreseen. Also as a key element of CT identity, the mark has an important role to deliver the image through its usage in all media representing the CT. When using the logo type, the circular motif of the logo mark can be applicable as a graphic element, along with its usage with previously developed auxiliary graphics. Therefore, their shapes or colors should not be changed arbitrarily.

KAIST's logo consists of a graphical logo type of its formal title with a graphic motif at the bottom.
Unless otherwise specified, the logo type and the graphic motif are not to be used separately.
